Negotiations: Tentative Agreement, Roadshow & Voting Information

Dear Spirit Flight Attendants,

Since your Master Executive Council Officers approved the Tentative Agreement (TA) to be put out for membership vote, the Negotiating Committee, our AFA Staff Negotiator, and other AFA International professional staff have been working on creating supporting information, contract topic videos, and marking up the entire Tentative Agreement language against our current contract so it is clear what has been changed.

We are pleased to announce that the new Tentative Agreement, and supporting information, will be released at the end of next week – targeting March 3rd. Everyone will have an opportunity to attend a roadshow, view all the information on the Tentative Agreement, and have a chance to get questions answered BEFORE voting on the Tentative Agreement.

Understanding the Sliding Pay Scale

A video is attached below explaining how you would “step” through the new pay scale.

We understand that Flight Attendants want all the details now. However, this delay allows us to organize and explain the changes. This assures that when the Tentative Agreement is released, our members will have all the information necessary to evaluate and understand it. This is the common practice.

Mark Your Calendar: The Tentative Agreement Roadshow!

Coming to Your Base: The Roadshow Schedule is below.  We will have at least one virtual roadshow and will post a roadshow recording online. We are working on securing meeting space and the exact locations of the roadshows. Once those details are fine-tuned soon, they will be announced.

The voting timeline is as follows:

MAR 16:  Voting Credentials Mailed MAR 20:  Voting Begins APR:  13:  Count Date

We are excited to share the Tentative Agreements details with you and discuss the strategic importance of this agreement. The Tentative Agreement, Q&A, explanatory videos, and articles will be available on the SpiritAFA  website in the coming weeks.

In Solidarity,

Your Negotiations Committee
